Hanoi Plastic participates in the smart factory development cooperation project 2022

On the morning of May 25, at the Industrial Development Center (Hanoi), Hanoi Plastics Joint Stock Company and 4 Vietnamese enterprises signed a cooperation agreement to develop smart factories in 2022, a program organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The smart factory co-operation project is the latest in a series of innovative consulting activities for Vietnamese enterprises and training Vietnamese experts to effectively replicate, reinforce synergy, and continue to strengthen supporting industry development activities.

The project aims to train 100 Vietnamese experts and assist in consulting and improving 50 businesses to apply Smart Factory in two years (2022-2023). With the goal of developing smart factories in Vietnam and adopting advanced technology into manufacturing practices, this meaningful co-operation project helps Vietnamese enterprises enter the global supply chain.

In this program, Hanoi Plastics JSC is one of the typical enterprises participating in the signing. “As a member of An Phat Holdings Group, Hanoi Plastics is one of the leading enterprises in the field of plastic components and precision molding. Over the years, Hanoi Plastics JSC and its member companies have received special attention and support from the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Samsung Vietnam in many cooperation and improvement programs.” Mr. Bui Minh Hai, Chairman of Hanoi Plastic JSC shared.

“Being selected to participate in this cooperation project, we strongly believe that Hanoi Plastics in particular, and Vietnamese businesses in general, will have an opportunity to learn and gain valuable experience from Samsung’s leading experts. By applying technology into production and developing smart factories, we can produce high-tech products made in Vietnam, participating in the global supply chain.” Mr. Hai affirmed.

A “smart factory” is the one with all intelligent production stages based on simulation in virtual space, from design and production to automatically receiving orders and creating orders based on production practices. Building a smart factory will help enterprises enhance their competitiveness by improving productivity, product quality, and reducing production costs.

Simultaneously, the project will foster the relationship between businesses and the government, FDI and domestic investment enterprises. It also improves the competitiveness of enterprises through coordinated activities, towards participation in regional and global value chains.

Earlier, in the period of 2019-2020, Hanoi Plastics and its member companies, such as Vietnam Pattern Manufacture and Precision Mechanical Company Limited (VMC), An Trung Industries, took part in Consulting Program of Ministry of Industry and Trade and Samsung Vietnam and achieved excellent results.

Also at the meeting, the Department of Industry-Ministry of Industry and Trade, Samsung Vietnam and 5 enterprises signed an agreement to assist with consulting and development of smart factories. Accordingly, supporting units will provide business assistance services and technical guidance for businesses to build and expand smart factories. The enterprise is responsible for delivering the company’s technical documents to the support units in the process until the completion of the agreement.
